Nutrition before your bariatric or metabolic surgery plays an important role, however the nutritional program and the modification in habits after your surgery play a fundamental role. At Obesity Health our nutrition team LN Paola Bravo De Ávila, LN Montserrat Díaz Roesch, LN Kenia Gutiérrez Acosta, LN Gabriela Escudero Silva, LN Andrea Mota Martínez and LN Adriana Palacios Peñaloza, will guide you throughout your process so that you reach your goal, but above all so that you can permanently improve your habits. It is important for you to know that our nutrition team has hundreds of cases of experience and individualized nutritional programs for patients who have undergone bariatric surgery. Currently, our nutritional team is one of the most experienced in Mexico. Nutritional follow-up can be in person, by phone or by video call. Nutritional monitoring at Obesity Health is based on scientific foundations and international recommendations in bariatric/metabolic surgery, however it has been designed and adapted based on the extensive experience of our team and the valuable suggestions of patients who have helped them adapt.

2.- VITAMINS AND MINERALS


They should be taken for at least 2 years after your gastric sleeve surgery and 6 years after your bypass surgery.

 

In the case of gastric sleeve, you should take a multivitamin and biotin, and in the case of bypass, in addition to the multivitamin and biotin, you should add a B complex, iron and calcium.

It is suggested to weigh the food so that we can know if you are consuming the necessary nutrients that you should consume in your diet plan.
